Mike Hancock :: Police Officere honor the memory of our founder, Leslie Michael Hancock. Our pain is only eased by the knowledge that his pain and suffering has ended. He will now be a warrior for God and stand as a shining example of how much can be accomplished in a short time if one is diligent. His time with us is a treasure.

From Ohio to Florida, North Carolina to Okinawa, the journey through the martial arts for Mike Hancock took him to many places meeting thousands of people. There was nothing he liked better than attending a seminar for a weekend and trading techniques and stories with fellow martial artists. From a 12 year old boy who wanted to be a cop, and was interested in karate, he became a dedicated police officer and a Master Martial Artist. His legacy will live on in the many students he has touched both in the police academy and in the dojo.

Mike leaves behind his loving wife, Amy, who walked with him side by side for over 28 years. A cherished daughter, Shelly, who taught him how to be a father. His son, Doug, who shared his love of motorcycles and the outdoors. His children, who have both trained for many years, will carry out "his original intention" of spreading the martial arts wherever they go. A true friend, his son-in-law, Dave Patrick, without whom he would not have had the experience of being a grandfather to little Claire.
